May be making some progress on lurching/hesitation issues (W515/516). Below are several new recalls issued on the Cayenne. Note that these recalls are VIN-specific so they may not apply to your vehicle. Call service rep at dealer to see whether they apply, or wait for mailing from PCNA. Thanks to CayenneAustin on rennlist, who first posted these.

Recall W420- Replace tip switch.
Recall W424- New vents for headlights, supposed to correct condensation issue.
Recall W503- Inspect latch and R&R if required.
Recall W515- Update transmission control unit.
Recall W516- Update DME programming
Recall W517- Adjust/replace (?) rear wiper arm and unit

Take a look at thread for more recall information that may affect you..

I took my S back about 8 months ago with a loud "Donking" when in trafic ie gently pulling away and gently slowing down. it went in twice and they could not find anything. a month later i had a recal letter about a gearbox problen (aparently not related) but after the recal it was fine?

just got to sort out the grating sound on pullaway (they say its normal but both my friends Cayenne S dont do it) and i also have a tempremental gearbox controller which does not give you confidence at rounderbouts somtimes as you put your foot down and nothing happens. you then back off thinking your not going to make it and it jumps out!
