I am pleased to let the region know that as of yesterday, I have officially accepted the role of Regional Organiser for the Thames Valley region. I am happy to announce that Leslie Kett has agreed to stay on as the regional assistant.

I would like to say a big thank you to all Thames Valley members who continued to support the region during this unfortunate time. See you all Sunday. Remember what the man said. Have a fab day.

Congratulations John.
A first class apointment. As your next door neighbours in the Cotswold Region may we offer our support and any assistance and hope that we may be able to hold the occaisional joint event.

Congrats John... onwards and upwards!

All the best and hope to see you at some point on Sunday...

Fantastic.

congratulation John. Thames Valley being quite central in the PCGB map, is traditionally one of the most active regions.
i look forward to coming along to one of your region events.................... Basildon ??

Thank you Helen. All I know about our anual regional event, from Chris Clark, is that the original plans were shelved. There is a conflicting post from our previous R/O under 2007 events which gives dates for a two day event at our regular meeting place, and on Sunday I will be following up that line of enquiry. Realistically it us up to the region to let my know what they want me to try to organise for them, as, with previous plans effectively cancelled, the window of opportunity is very narrow if our region is going to avoid having an event during the peak holiday months or having another big event close to Ragley Hall, both competing for the same sponsorship pot. I will have a better idea after Sunday, but whatever we do you will be most welcome. I am always happy to widen the circle of my friends

John
Welcome to the post.
Hope you settle in and don't find the role too stressful [:D]

Thank you for your vote of confidence Leslie. I really look forward to working with you to move the region forward. There is just a bit of negative thinking coming out in members post of late; I am trying to put a positive spin on things, wherever possible. Now that the region has a strong team looking after its needs once again I am looking forward to seeing an uplift in people's demeanour, and seeing some happy smiling faces at the hotel on Sunday. Kish is going to be looking in late-ish and I believe we may be honoured by having board representaion in the form of Jeff Wright, so I'd better get my hair cut, eh? Tell your best mate I am just keeping the seat warm and he is welcome anytime, even as a guest.

Welcome to the "Workers"!![:D]

Tony and Harriet

Thank you Tony and Harriet of R16 for your greeting. I am sure we must have met in passing. I have to apologise and admit that I can't put faces to all the names yet.

Congratulations John.

Now even more of a (924)nutter! [:D]

Infiltrators from Surrey are welcome at Ascot first Sunday of the month. Thank you for taking the trouble to respond. It isn't much of a surprise to you is it? I think I mentioned that I would offer to take the role on. I will see you Sunday if you come along.

Thank you for your greeting. I know you might be arriving quite a bit behind most of the other members. Mine's a pint.

Yes, we have talked to each other at Cornbury House on the last open day when we were looking ([]) at your car on display. Tony and I will be up there tomorrow on duty, in our black shirts, so see you then[:D][:D]

James, check your diary, I think you will find that our meeting day is the first Sunday of the month.

Sorry, meant Sunday. I am here typing this and not sitting on my own at Ascot [:D]

Thames Valley Members -
It's great to see the messages of support for your new RO and his team. Please attend the next meeting if you can, and help to get things moving again in what is (numerically) the largest Region in the Club.
Wish I could join you on Sunday, but I have a conflicting event "up North"
Best regards,
Chris Clark
Regional Director
