New RS needed, and for sale

Thanks to all who've been in touch, sent messages etc. I will reply, but moving my entire life and business 300 miles has meant a lot of work and time.

The really short update is that life has thrown me a curved-ball. The only option left that makes sense is for me to move to Cornwall where I have family, close my business after 20 years, and to start up from scratch. The positive side is that the car can come with me, as I'm not having to sell everything to afford local rent rates. I'll also have more time for the car, and the Register. What I need now is an urgent idea of contacts for 944-experienced mechanics in Cornwall. I don't want to be spending hours going up to Andy Moss, he was arguably nearer me when I was in Bucks! If anyone knows these guys please any feedback via PM please? [link=http://www.richardsspecialistcars.co.uk/]http://www.richardsspecialistcars.co.uk/[/link] On a personal note, if anyone has contacts within Cornwall please pass my details on. I'm setting up a new contract gardening business and any help is needed. Holiday lets, second homes, pretty much any contacts would be appreciated. I'm going to be moving as someone with full CRB checks, all the necessary licenses and insurances etc. When it looked like the car was needed to be sold to raise immediate cash, I was overwhelmed by the support from the Club. Thank you all.

Hi Paul

After reading your first post I think the saying 'Light at the end of the tunnel' may be appropriate

Great to hear you can keep the car[:)]

Paul,

Good luck with your new plans down in Cornwall, great to hear you can still keep your car and will have more time as RS too, a bonus for us all.

Mike

Pleased to hear you have a plan in hand Paul. Belinda may know a couple of people, she is looking into for you.

Good luck with everything Paul - hope it works out for you

...long trek to Rutland in a few weeks [:)]

Good luck Paul, and great thing that your keeping the car as the south west is a great place to have a sports car (except when the roads are chock full of grockels)

Just picked up on this I'm so sorry to hear, may I wish you all the best from one of the newer 944 members.

Regards

John

(presently one of the nearest 944 to you in distance, until you move)

Good luck with everything Paul - am sure it will all work out just fine over time. What a lovely part of the world to end up in.

Been away from the forum for a while so only just seen this, so gone from shock and sadness to relief.

Hope things work out for you, a thoroughly decent chap.

Isn't there a very well regarded Porsche Indy in Cornwall, although for the life of me I can't remember their name.

Dunno about Cornwall but wasn't Fen from Devon? He certainly had a chap who looked after his machines down there.

Oli.
