New Wheels

I rather like those [:D] I'm a big fan of split rims, they'd also look awesome in matt black but are still great in gloss. Are they heavy?

They aren't too bad Peter - compared with the 16's the fronts felt a little heavier & the rears felt almost the same - haven't weighed them though but I will get round to that sometime. I had a quick drive - ride is OK but they do follow the road contours a bit more (yes I do have 968 caster mounts [;)]) that may just be down to tyre pressures - I haven't checked those, just slapped on the wheels [:D]

I know I'm odd but I genuinely prefer the D90s, especially the forged ones. They just look right.

What do people think? I'm not sure yet

A bit of an impulse buy really - it does mean that when my T1-R's have worn out I can use these as road wheels, and have four 9J Clubsport rims for track days. I put them on today just as a quick test (different thread..)

Car is filthy I'm afraid - been doing lots of miles recently (sorry Scotty [;)])

They aren't D90's though - the forged rims are usually known as Club Sports [;)]

Not too sure Ed. I think of all our cars on here yours needs bigger wheels the least, with the stance you have. I think if you keep them you're gonna have to get clear indicators all round. If it were me, I would get your clubsports daimond cut.

Sorry first pic for me but then with the exception of the black bridge spoiler (mines red) that could be my car, same colour, same reg year. I bought some CS alloys for mine but still have the original turbo D90s. I look at it as one thing I don't want to spend money on (which is good)

edh they would look much better on my dark coloured car.[;)] Your welcome to let me look after them for you[:D][:D][:D] Very nice rims. I think I spotted those for sale recently and wish I had bought them now[]

Ed, look great - they also continue the black on red theme very nicely. Thought I saw your car on the northbound M6 this morning, near to Knutsford - can't be many extremely low red 944Ts around, just yours and MarkK's?

Nice, I like them a lot (also love the forged clubsports too).......................however satin black would be better and a polished rim [8|][8|] (ooh matron) for perfection

I have original Cup 1 on mine which i love, i have just managed to secure some forged cs,after i sold mine a couple of years ago ! DOH! The split rims would look nice with silver centres IMO. Hoping to get another set of forged cs wheels shortly attatched to a silverose ! Depending on shifting my Alpina see PH.

very nice...whats the old guy doing in the background on the last pic looks like a dog has got hold of his right trouser leg lol
