Nice green S2 and a red stickered up one.

I have managed to snap the near side rear drive shaft yesterday. I was having a browse on here to see if anyone had replaced theirs recently to get an idea of cost.....

How much were you expecting to pay for the shaft from the brokers?

Many thanks
Becs

Hi Becs
Shouldn't be a lot from a breaker, they dont often break so they should have loads.
Easy to change as well.
That gas must be powerful stuff!

HAHA!! Something like that!

Found one at a brokers for £50, so just have to pay for labour. Hope it is an easy a job as you say!

Cheers

Duke's car is currently off the road. It had a 2.5L with a GT35 on it for a while, but is now undergoing an upgrade to a 3L+ 16v monster. Should prove at least as nice as the body. [:)]

Nice to hear you like my rainforest green 951!

The other car in this thread is a factory turbo cup, sub 1200 kg I think and around 450 bhp. Never seen it in person though.

Welcome to the forum. How is the new engine coming on? It seems a long time since I first heard your car was getting a new engine?

Several engine's have gone in and out the last couple of years.
It had a 3.0l 16v turbo engine for a short while but it threw a rod through the block.
The current 2.5l is pretty fast with 100-150 km/h in 2.9 sec.

The new 3.0l 16v engine will be built next month. I have all parts ready.
It's a 968 based engine with variocam still in place.

The past month's car has got new lightweight carpets (all padding removed), a Heigo full cage, new custom control arms etc. so the engine is the "only" thing left to do to get it ready for this season.
