Well I've just stopped looking at Pistonheads for another 944, what a total waste of time which is now in the realms of fantasy:

I'd love to see any of these cars reach the value they have been posted at, dreamland
Did you view the car? I'd like to hear if you found anything wrong with it.
Remember that advertised prices are including haggle-room, so that isn't really the price it'll sell for.
On the face of it it's a perfect spec, and in nice, original condition. You'd have to see the history, and MOTs back to only 2001 is an issue, but assuming it's "as described" I'd say it was a £12K car any day from a private seller.
Factor in that it's for sale at a prestigious dealer in the South East and I'd say a collector will walk out of there happy at £16K, with the knowledge that they will honour the warranty if anything goes wrong. I'd bet it'll never put on many miles, so will appreciate as low-miles cars become rarer over time.
It's not cheap, but if you're looking for a specific spec you're limited in choice. I've been talking to a guy looking for a turbo cab recently and at that level £5K or £10K extra doesn't matter: it has to be the right car, and there are only a few cars on the market.
This is a near-perfect (subject to viewing) 944 turbo, in a great spec, from a trusted dealer, for less than a used Mondeo. It's hardly a £5K Ebay ratter! [
