Nissan Factory Tour Washington March 31st 2023

For anyone who has ever wanted to find out more about how a modern car is built but never had the opportunity, I am hoping to organise locally a Nissan factory tour experience, sometime in March.

On this tour I can’t promise a visit to the hallowed Stuttgart turf, the chance to watch a specific model from your preferred brand being assembled or a 5-star weekend away but what is available is a fully comprehensive insight into how Nissan creates their cars. It all starts in the pressing area in the body shop, followed by an exclusive tour of the factory to see first-hand their 1000+ factory robots at work prior to finally visiting the assembly area, to see the finished product.

Spaces are limited to a maximum of 15 members but if there’s enough interest the Nissan team has kindly offered us the possibility of a second group running concurrently, but only if we can fill both allocations (two groups of 15) unfortunately though they only offer visits on a weekday hence I’ve yet to firm up a date, but I’m provisionally looking at sometime around 22-24th March time TBC.

Spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis and as this is a member benefit experience all participants must be current PCGB members. Cost is £20 per person.

Could anyone interested please add their name to this thread then click this link and follow the initial instructions. This will then allow me to gauge interest and to firm up the dates with Nissan, before any payments are required.

Please note unfortunately this factory tour may not be suitable for everyone and can be physically demanding. All participants must be over 15 years of age.

I've signed up, thanks Greg.

I've been to some bits of the plant in the past, but never had the full tour.

I've also signed up Sir Gregory....

Yours faithfully.... with a bare knee and a tie thrown over my shoulder...

Sir John

After delivering to Nissan for a number of years I would be delighted to attend a factory tour. However it really is work depending as to if I can get the day off work.

I will submit a form anyways and check with work tomorrow.

Hi Greg

Sounds a really interesting visit which I'd like to attend. However, of the dates you mention, I can only make Friday 24th March.

Form submitted.

Drive safe

John

Wow, the first 15 space filled up a lot faster than I expected. Lets see if we fill the second group as quickly, failing that I will use it to start a reserve list to plan for the next one, hope to hear back in the next few days regarding firming up the date and times.
