Northern 'Rollers of Truth'?

I don't know what I will be doing in the near future, today I am learning to walk after an operation on my back[]. Might try driving next week but it could be some weeks before I get in the 944..........then I will come up with a plan to get out[:D]

Mike[:'(]

Any excuse to get out of me wipping you on the rollers[:D][:D][:D]

Hope you get better soon Mike, how long will you be laid up?

It really should do. Any Turbo measurements without an AFR plot is missing a whole bunch of information, especially if it's been tweaked in any way. A Dyno is not just about the power reading but also knowing how safe your engine is []

Does the dyno dynamics lot do AFR for that price Lee ?

Mike

Yes it does your AFR too [:D]

So Saturday 20th June then:

1. Lee (Lemon)
2. Nick (Appleton)
3. Will
4.
5.
6.

Anymore, we need 6 plus to even get this going[:D]

Hmm, let me see if I can sort the belts and rollers before then................

I'd like to know what it's putting out at the moment before I start to tweak it in the future - get me a nice baseline to work from.

Mike

I would like to do this, so can I put my name down?

You both know it is always sunny on the leisure peninsular for a nice drive.[;)]

If you let Steve Bennett (editor) at 911 & Porsche World know about this he may do a feature. I've been on at him to do more on the front engined cars and mentioned about features on rolling road "shoot outs" and he says just let him know and they will be there.

Lee - not sure I can commit 100% just yet.

Try pestering MarkK to get his red beastie along too [8D]

Hi

Well another little push re RR Day.

I have had some tentative correspondence with 911 & Porsche World (thanks O'Callen ).
They have been thinking of Possibly covering a front engined Dyno Day in the magazine.

For something like that to get off the ground would need 10+ cars and a mix of N/A, Turbo's
etc ( or supercharged cars, Peter is it ready yet?? )

So if there are anymore interest let me know.

Cheers

Lee

UPDATE 911 & Porsche Mag could make the 20th June[:D][:D][:D]

Hi Lee, very close to the SC going on, I've now worked out why the Wideband was playing up, next step is fitting the Piggyback, then the injectors to make sure they're compatible and then it's boost time. However whilst I'd love to come along it is nearly a 400 mile round trip and that's probably a bit too much to be honest.

Theres a DD RR near here (in MK) so I hope to get the car over there once I've got the basic mapping sorted.

Thanks for that vote of confidence :ROFLMAO: [;)]
I can't begin to imagine how deaf, hot, worn out and uncomfortable I'd be being in there for the 6 or 7 hours it could take. I love it really but it is a bit of a head banger on the motorway.

For go faster goodies or a check up?

Just a checkup.

No doubt Jon will try to sell me some go faster goodies [;)] but I have buried my wallet and microwaved all my credit cards just in case :ROFLMAO:

Well a bump re this thread see if any one else is interested,
otherwise I think it will have to be nocked on the head for the time being.

I see you have now sold your car Nick, [:(][:(][:(] so I guess you will not want number 2 slot either!!!

So Saturday 20th June then:

1. Lee (Lemon)
2. Nick (Appleton)
3. Will
4. Tom A.(Homesea)
5. AlexW
6.

Let me know if anyone else thinks they may like to come, cheeeeeeeeeeeeers[:D][:D][:D]

Sorry Lee, my car won't be ready to be smacked on the rollers by then. If it's on, I will attend to see some cars go, but I'll bow out disgracefully for now.................
