Novice Driver Induction Day, Blyton Park.

Hope you all have a good day, did Blyton last year but it was not in my Porsche. A good track for a 2 litre Honda engined rover but it Will be a little stop start for higher powered porker. Should still be lots of fun and very informative. Hope to see some pics and maybe some video posted after the event.

Fantastic day to day at Blyton, excellent track, staff, location weather and of course cars. I hope all out on the track enjoyed - the instructors seemed to be kept busy. A big thank you to Richard and Gavin for arranging, and I hope the car electrics are sorted soon Richard, and that fixes them for good!! Not easy trying to run the day and resolve your own cars issues. Sorry I had to leave early afternoon and couldn't assist more. I hope nothing happened after I left!! And of course nice to see Anna and Andrew again from AW Repair Group (Sleaford) who sponsored the event!!

Thanks to all for a great day out - track is great especially for classic Porsches and drivers! Enjoyed meeting you guys. Special thanks for the cake and to whoever organised the weather[8D] Tony

I'd like to add my thanks too, excellent venue, lovely friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Top marks all round for everyone involved in making it such a good day out.....and the driving was quite fun too! Robert

Great day, great cars, great company, really enjoyed it especially the OPL session [:D] Roll on the next one..... g

I would like to add my thanks to Richard,Gavin and everyone else for a well organised, enjoyable day out, thank you.

I would like to add my thanks to all those concerned in promoting and sponsoring the event, and include the other participants and helpers. A first class effort by the region - please run another one this year.

I'd like to add a big thankyou to all of the drivers yesterday (31 May) The standard of driving and courteous way you all behaved on the track was superb. I know a lot of you learnt a lot about your cars and also about your own abilities. The social atmosphere was second to none, helped by the beautiful Lincolnshire weather. Andrew & Anna from AW Repair Group (Sleaford), thanks for having the faith to support us in our venture, lovely cakes Anna! Finally to Richard and Jane, it is always a pleasure to be at your venue, you make us all feel so welcome. Sorry to sound like an Oscar speech, but you all know what I mean. Great to see you all! Gavin

I've had a couple of requests for the website of the photographer from those who attended Blyton. I didn't get his card, if anyone has it, please post or e-mail. Thanks

Gavin, Photography website is www.studio25photographyltd.co.uk I had a brilliant time and although I may have been the slowest 997 out there, I learned a lot more about my car and the instructors were excellent. I also learned how much more fun my car is if I take over from the auto box and do it myself, oh and when I remembered to set up the suspension for track use it got a whole lot more interesting.... More S bends please !!! Thanks to Craig for letting me join him on the open pit at the end... Now I know why you kept lapping me !!! Looking forward to meeting up again soon Chris (The New Captain Slow) :)

Hi, I’d just like to add my thanks and appreciation for a great day, this was my first track day and it won’t be the last and this is all down to the great experience. Thanks again. Nigel

ALL - Thank you for your positive comments on the Friday Novice day very much appreciated by the R4 team. Regarding the problem I had with my car on the day it was the alternator that packed in. Pleased to report that Ben from Rennspeed turned out & had the car fixed by Sat afternoon & not to expensive to sort. Special thanks to Richard Usher who lent me his track MX 5, so my two siblings did not miss out on the day following the problem with my 997. Thanks again Richard, Gavin & Rod. Photography website is www.studio25photographyltd.co.uk ps AW Repair Centre also had a photography on site contact through AW <anna@awrepairgroup.co.uk>

I'd like to add my thanks also. Unfortunately for the car (and tyre budget) it'll not be its last track foray... I do fancy slapping some numbers on a car and Blyton didn't help! Thanks to Gavin and Celia, great instruction. Hopefully not my driving that was contributory to Celia heading off ill. Thanks all, suppose I should join up too. Craig

If anyone took any photos of my Polar Silver 993 on track during the late afternoon, I would appreciate if you can let me know. Unfortunately Studio25 had packed up his kit and as this was a very rare track excursion for my car, i would like a picture for posterity. Hopefully AW Repair Groups photog may have one? Regards Gavin.

Good Morning Everyone, Was Great to see you all at Blyton Park flying round the track, hope you all enjoyed the cakes... We have a CD of images from the Track Day that i will be burning for you all to have a copy, i will be liaising with Richard for address's of all attendee's and you will recieve a copy very soon. See you all hopefully at our open day on the 22nd June. Thanks Anna

A very tardy response for the superb day at Blyton a couple of weeks ago. Although the oldest (car and driver), smallest (engine!), least powerful vehicle on the track, it seems not to have let the side down! I enjoyed the day and the instructors were especially helpful trying to teach me circuit driving as opposed to rally driving ... (no further comments needed!). And the photos actually make it seem that I was driving quite quickly...and flat through that last sweeping chicane before the end was memorable. A fun day - and many thanks to Richard and Gavin for organizing it, the instructors for sitting beside drivers with a range of skills and last, but certainly not least, A W Repairs for sponsoring us - and, of course, Anna's cakes. Brod (in the 912)

Just received the latest Owners Club Magazine and have to say the choice of photo used really made me feel proud and made my day when I turned the page to it. Thankyou Mr Editor :) I've just been to the Porsche Experience Centre (week after gp) and what I learned at Blyton made the experience of driving the new 991 C4S a whole lot more enjoyable.
