Hi folks,
After a prolonged stay tucked up in the garage, my turbo has today been collected by those nice chaps at RPM. After some much needed TLC, they will be fitting some shiny new KW3 suspension to replace the very tired M030. So, in the next few weeks I will be looking to book a trackday. Previous experience is limited to a few RS Owners Club days back in the early 90's, so it is fair to say I am a bit rusty. I am also used to driving my daily 4 wheel drive chaveza so will need to readjust to the 944.
Can you trackday veterans suggest a suitable venue (preferably southern) for a novice? Am I right in thinking that Bedford has large runoff areas? My insurance covers me for trackdays, so long as it is a recognised organiser, so that may limit my choices to some extent. Would you suggest open pit lane, as opposed to fixed sessions? Finally (for now) do all trackdays have instructors who can be booked in advance?
Thanks in advance.
