Odometer gear

Do Porsche service the part? They certainly never used to! Parts like this and the door handle repair parts are aftermarket, even where they come from the OEM.

ORIGINAL: Matey Just ordered one from here, took a week to arrive and a bit cheaper [:D] http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281563032184?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Yeah, saw those but they're 3D printed, and I wasn't sure if the material they used would last long term. Someone on here with knowledge of the process might be able to enlighten us though.

Both would be made with a hot plastic one would be poured in to a mould extrusion instead of printed, you'd have to be quite brutal to break a cog on these I've had a go already. Tempted to brush up on my CAD and buy a 3D printer as an add on for work, I use a laser cutter anyway so it would tie in well with my current business.

I would guess that the German parts were injection moulded, which involves 200°+ temperatures, tonnes of pressure and about 200BAR injection pressure. Far more durable than a hot bed printed ABS part, although the printed part may be more than durable enough.
