I wouldn't worry about it TBH – the car's capabilities are waaaaaay above most average people's skills these days. If you leave PSM on I seriously doubt you'll ever get close to an insurance incident at the PEC (the instructors aren't going to get you vaguely close to it either). I did a two day course there, and on to Silverstone itself, last year in my then five month old C2S. Instruction was first rate.

Seconded. Even with the PSM off they're like the preverbal on blankets so if you want to use your own, you're in safe hands.
