Hi Quick tread reserection I have had the car back on the road this month it was going great good weather for top down motoring. I checked the fluids today and horror there is oil in the water again. I replaced the cooler gasket and one O ring (Is that right). So have I screwed up fitting the gasket or is there another source of oil in the water?

The tool is used for aligning the oil pressure valve. I fit the housing bolts loosely, install the pressure valve before finally tightening the housing. But since yours has the later style valve there is less chance of it sticking anyway.
Personally I'd flush as much as possible with hot water (you'll never get it all out), fill with straight water, run up to temperature, cool and drain again. Were the old gaskets obviously failed as you may still find the head gasket is at fault - there was a whole thread about rotten head gaskets, just like my personal car -

eta: just noticed your most recent post. You either have a failed headgasket or there is some residual oil in the system, I'd be getting the coolant system pressure tested and/or a leakdown test done before spending more cash.

Hi Thanks for the reply That is how OI set up the relief valve and it seems to be okay. I will try a your other sugestions.

Thanks Mick
