Oil Filters

I get Mann filters from G&S. Got a Fram for the Volvo today from SAS, it had plastic parts in it!!! Plastic is what the french use to build their cars from, won't be getting another Fram.

Question: Who fills the filter with oil before fitting it? Obviously this is impossible on a 2.5NA due to the filter being upside down but i still disconnect the king lead and beat my battery up until the oil light goes out.

I can't imagine Porsche would allow ECP (or anyone else) to sell those unless they paid a license fee to Porsche, which would wipe out any saving. Though it is probably the same part without the Porsche logo on it.

Scott, Just for your information. And anybody else for that matter,,,
Ive just got a batch of oil filters from ECP, I ordered the "OE" filters and guess what , they ARE genuine PORSCHE filters with the PORSCHE logo printed on....
So YES they do supply GENUINE parts......

Good stuff, everyones a winner. They always look better with the proper black Porsche scripted oil filters.

Interestingly, my filers arrived from ECP yesterday (only 2 weeks after I ordered them ...); I had ordered 3 bosch filters, and they sent me two bosch ones and one (more expensive)Mahle one. And they were clearly identical, made on the same production line ...
