Woo Hoo!!!!
Edge of the seat stuff.

I hear that Ferrari's Design Team, have been sent to invent a device that puts the cork BACK in the champagne!!! [:D]

Had a wee cheeky side bet, which I won, and I now look forward to a month of having a very clean car.

Anyway, well done Lewis. He must think he's the luckiest guy in the world right now. He picks up the F1 Drivers Title, and woke up this morning with Nicole Sherzinger in his bed.

yeah, well the Italians are learning to make a new wine with all those sour grapes.

or should that be whine?

You fancy ickle Hamilton, don't you. Go on admit it[:D]

In a purely non-partisan way I can't help feeling that when consistency and effort are considered alongside driver skill Massa is the one who should have won it. I'm pleased that we have a Brit Champion after so long but I really wish Lewis had won it in a more convincing way. He was really gifted it at the last minute - and I'm sure there are more than a few people wondering how much Glock was paid to lose 18 seconds on a single lap!!

Even Lewis himself has been reported as saying that he wants to win it more convincingly next year.

Roll on the slick tyres et al. Should be interesting next year!!!

Regards

Dave

I cried when he (Hamilton) lost position to Vettel, and cried when he gained on Glock.

Not nearly as much as I cried when the camera's panned in on Ferrari's premature victory! [:D][:D][:D]

think it was funny watching the ferrari garage going from glee to glum in the space of 30 seconds, my only gripe is that lewis should have raced like massa was

but of a bummer for massa who must have been told by his pit crew that he'd won the title only to be told that hamilton has now finished 5th... they should have waited till he crossed the line the clowns..

Its a wonder he didnt wake up with a horses head lying next to him in bed !

Ferrari deserved it ! Lewis didnt have the skill or bottle to win the race or the chamipionship in style ! As for glock would be happier if it was his head next to Lewis

whatever!

Short memories folks - remember some stewards decisions made this year disadvantaging Hamilton ( and McLaren ) - without some of them he would have been uncatchable yesterday.

Lack of "skill or bottle" ??? - how about Silverstone - and come to that what about his overtaking manouver yesterday going on to the wet line - lot more bottle than I have or 99.99% of people on this forum have got I suspect.

Great race, even got the better half interested! It's a real shame that it couldn't be a joint championship, though, as they both deserved it equally. Scrappy season, but it made it very watchable. I can't believe that Bernie arranged for rain just before the start and again at the finish, well - I suppose nothing's beyond him! [&:]

So, Lewis is the youngest champ ever. Is he also the first who's run into another car at the traffic lights during a race? [8|]

Wasn't the sight of Lewis' brother leaving his wheelchair and limping outside to check the sky a truly memorable moment? It softened the heart of even this old cynic. [:)]

Oh Dave, Lewis wasn't gifted the Championship, look at the lap times Glock was actually faster than Trulli on the final lap and he was the only other car on dry tyres. Massa is a great driver too, (not as great as LH mind you) but take into account the times LH has been unfairly penalised and it squares the inconsistancy theory up. Lewis is a legend now and in the future.

GO LEWIS, GO LEWIS, GO LEWIS, GO LEWIS, GO LEWIS, GO LEWIS, GO LEWIS, GO LEWIS, GO LEWIS

Kx [:D][:D][:D]

Unusually for me, I ended up watching the race live with a gang of friends, which made it even more exciting ... I literally was on the edge of my seat on that last lap. Absolutely brilliant race, and Lewis richly desreves his title, he is a consumate racer. Granted he is a cocky little sod, but that's what it takes to win, he reminds me a lot of Mr Schumacher in that respect.

Go Lewis indeed!

I totally agree with you on this, this 10 second clip made my day! It was wonderful - especially after a year full of disappointing stewards decisions and the FIA blatantly making decisions to 'assist' Ferrari in their quest for F1 dominance.

Well done Lewis - you are the best driver in F1 and no amount of sour grapes from those who support the Italian stallion will convince me otherwise. The results speak for them selves, despite the odds against McLaren.

Granted that Massa is also a very accomplished drive [even though he likes to leave the pit lane with the fuel hose attached!] but there are at least 10 other drivers of equal quality if only they had the machinery of the top 2 teams.

Let not forget those badly behaved spectators who booed Lewis when he had won. That was disgraceful and very unsportsmanlike like.

Credit where Credit is due the man with most points at end of year was Lewis though still would have liked to see Massa (NOT Ferrari) win after all those years as wing man to Schumacher however I still think Lewis made too many errors under pressure this year

Next year however with monkey of his back asuuming they can produce a good car that could be interesting

Heresy I know, but I have been following F1 for more years than I care to admit and I can categorically say that I have never been less interested in a season and a British F1 driver than I have been in 2008 and Hamilton. In years gone by I have been up in the middle of the night to follow many epic battles. I watched Mansell lose out in Oz due to a burst tyre and Murray was not the only one with tears in his eyes when Hill won the WDC. I sat up half the night in LA to watch Herbert win one of his GP's. I don't know if it is because he is a Maclaren clone, but whilst he undoubtedly has talent, I find Hamilton bland to the point of boredom. And ffs man, stop saying that God is on your side. You are not Senna and never will be!

Hamilton is God! Well, God like in my eyes. It is safe to say, that Richard Hammond has been relegated to position 2 in the Top 5 list!
