Well this is beginning to look up - there's been 14 downloads so far of your avatar handiwork. The last one though seems too large to use as avatar and it doesn't show - seems they have to be under 20kb otherwise I could have used a rare shot of Kylie's bottom or other files I picked up working for a media co.

Does your black and decker software or other do it under 20kb?

Yep - Electrial Contact cleaner otherwise known as Iso Propanol (available from Maplin for a fiver) does the job, lasts ages and costs a fraction of the price of RainX (which is just Iso Propanol anyway)

Cheers

Iso propanol and tonic... sounds great[8D]

I thought I was an anorak but you've topped me again . . . . . . . [:D]

Good tip!

[;)][;)][;)] As my father was an industrial chemist and metallurgist I was forever being fed technical bits of gen. and some of them must have sunk in ! So I blame him.
Also, being the only one of his three sons that inherited his interest in proper cars and above all enjoyed pulling them to pieces and fixing them - I'm a small mine of useless information [:D]

Even a small mine can make a bloody big hole in your superstructure[;)]

Useful stuff, this iso-propyl alcohol;-I mix it with disilled water-50/50 and use it cool the elliptical diamond pickup needle and reduce hiss, also reduce wear to my vinyl when playing records on my Goldring-Lenco transcription deck, but I leave the anorack off 'cause we've got central heating these days.[8|]

Cor it works. You could licence it out!! Charge for upgrades, customisations..

You haven't received my invoice yet for the first one, never mind the upgrade.[;)]
In all seriousness I've helped a few people on this forum with their avatar. Quite happy to try and help. and as I don't charge they can't complain too much if something is wrong.
(It does seem strange seeing my name on someone's avatar though).

Cheers,

Cheers,

I'm the free showhouse offer to get the others to cough up!!

I think there's some potential here, but maybe colours need changing and different font. Perhaps we could work on it before launching it!! I'll email you!

Nice tip about the Window Cleaning stuff...
As for the Avatar.(Not the Bald Kid with the Blue arrow on his head!)...I stole mine from someone on another site as we Share the same Colour and Model 924S but he/she has a better House!

With the looks of his avatar at the mo, it looks as if he did not license it and the 30 days grace has now expired. I like the clever way you put a time limit into your jpg file.
Does it also have an automatic update service if he ever gets around to shelling out for work done?

Mike,
Didn't get the Direct Debit form back. As the gentlemen resides on the Costa Geriatrica I'm assuming that his bath chair broke down on the way to the PO with the envelope.[:)]

Cheers,

It's the 'Avatar to Follow' file of Fred's I thought I'd change it to..

Geoff, could you try it out on your profile and let us know if it works?

In that case you know Fred supports only current version and one back. I suggest you purchase the upgrade and get on the correct point version. Support will not talk to you until you are on a supported version.

Roland,

Which file was it? I'll load it as mine to check that it works. Was it the one done with the 'proper' font?
"It works for me Wilbur"

Actually he only supports the current version and won't even licence the one he's got!
