Opc low offer on car

If they make an insulting offer for your car, you can also match it with an equally insulting offer against the sticker price on the car(s) they are selling.

Granted ... but knowing that their offer was much less than the relevant value I wanted no further dealings with them. I had expected some honesty at the least. Disappointing as this dealer had been applauded on this forum, albeit not relative to a similar deal.

The other OPC saw fit to add 25% to the value.

The thing is too that a Porsche OPC needs to put it through the workshop, stick a 2 year warranty on the car and then you have those lovely showrooms to pay for, the bottles of water, coffee, biscuits, License charge for the T.V. you can watch, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.

Granted, but does not warrant a .... 50% mark up, especially after being told that it needed for nothing !
Car was already sitting with a two year warranty.

Its a bitter pill to swallow I admit that, but this pricing policy seems to be quite widespread in the car dealership stakes. I took more than a passing interest in a 981 GTS for sale at my local OPC. I have an RS60 that also wants for nothing and indeed they look after it. I had a chat with the sales person who said to me, what are you looking for your car. I simply said that was your job to tell me what you will take for it in a trade. In my head I imagined nothing ending in teen might get the job done, but alas the offer was 17k. What is asked on the likes of Autotrader and Pistonheads bears no relation to what you can expect for a car at a dealership. Lets be honest, they are after a straight sale with finance if they can, thats unless you have something very special that they already have a buyer for.

Did not have to swallow that one, just went to another OPC for a much better deal.

Was `your` 981 GTS in red, with a Scottish dealer ?

I got more from WBAC than Aberdeen Audi offered me as a trade-in. Painless and easy transaction :ROFLMAO:
