Hi, I'm currently running a Fabspeed RSR decay header + dual tip exhaust. However I find that it produces a deafening drone from 1k-3k rpm... I love how the exhaust note crackles on lift off, how it gargles and roars above 3k, but below 3k the harmonic is simply annoying.
Wanted to ask if anyone has experience with other exhaust systems... I heard FVD's brombacher is pricey but much more livable.
Hoping to find something that's quiet at low RPM, but can sing like a banshee when you give it the beans. If I can't find anything better might just go back to stock...
I was reading on Rennlist forum where someone was complaining about exhaust droning with an aftermarket exhaust, can't remember who made the exhaust, there was a reply from Colin from 9M who had experienced similar and said "The cause is usually collision of the alternate left/right exhaust pulses in the centre of the silencer. I cured the problem by re-engineering the silencer with a proper 2-into-1 spiral merge in the middle of the box."
Maybe worth a phone call
