original radio?

do you think the radio i have found in my garage is to old for the car would it have a digital readout?
 
has anyone got a model number for the radio that would have been fitted to a 1984 car or photographs please
 
i have now been told it would have been a Blaupunkt Koln SQR22 has any one got one they want to sell me[:)]
 
Mines later but aslo has a panasonic (cq-f30fnp)with an amber digital display.

has an 'ipod adaptor' too - a 3.5mm input jack at front ;p not that i own an ipod.

If you can find a list of every 1980s Panasonic (with pictures) then I'll point to which model went in which car... Some cars had Blaupunkts, but they were far less common. Late cars had the F35, inc the audio cars, and 1985/6/7 cars had a set which lit green and amber IIRC. Yours would have been the set before that, which I think was branded National Panasonic, but Im not sure.
 
Hi guys, If you're not hooked on originality there are solutions that offer the best of both worlds http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i74_in-dash-cd---cassette-combo-receivers.html .In my opinion ripping the songs to a cd is not a solution,it doesn't offer the feel of the real thing but also having only casette player is very limiting ,i think the combo is the best solution there is.
