OT - deposit quandry

Thanks all.
I didn't get chance to speak to them today but I think a credit card is the way to go.

In the case of a body shop, where a lot of new parts are being purchased, what I did in my own case during my Turbo resto was buy all the parts myself direct (from OPC Hatfield in this case) and have them delivered to the body shop. There is no particularly good reason why parts need to go through the books of the body shop at all.
 
I always do the same as lowtimer, get a parts list and labour estimate before the job.

I then buy the parts and take advantage of airmiles cashback etc, it also allows me to search for the best prices available.

I wont pay labour costs until the job is finished and I am happy with the work, its amazing how some companies ask for drip feed payments and at the end of the job its difficult to get any small issues sorted out because they have had 90% of the money
