In reply to Jason:-
Glad to hear you are coping well. Your car can be repaired, but what ever you do don't be railroaded into an early settlement because of 'inconvenience'.
You are obviously going to suffer some whiplash damage, and if the accident was not your fault, you are entitled to compensation for your injuries and trauma.
Mac's daughter was in an accident on November 10th. when her 924 was written off, (thanks again to Porsche for saving her life), and although she has had the money for her car, she has had nothing for loss of earnings or her injuries.
The other party accepted liability, and his insurance company have since tried to trivialise her injuries as 'only whiplash'.
You may feel comfortable that you are not badly hurt, but this is a little friendly advice to not rush back to work, until you are absolutely certain you are completely recovered.
Unfortunately it is looking more and more likely that Mac's daughter will not be able to return to the job she did before, even though she has endured weeks of painful physiotherapy. Psychologically she is very fragile, and this is worsened by worries over money.
The bottom line is serious injuries, no job, no money ,no settlement, no Porsche, and the worst of it is that until she was introduced to her new Solicitor through friends in Porsche Club, nobody seemed to be working on her behalf.
Take things easy Jason.
