Just taken a look at them, a bit to complicated for me I reckon! I'm going to get a quote from a Porsche specialist...

Mine is a 99(T) C2 Tiptronic, which I beleive is not egas. With that in mind, I assume the reset procedure is not as simple as post #2?
 
1998 and 1999 C2's have mechanical throttle, so are not reset the same as an eGas car. The only way to reset the adaption values is to disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes. Don't forget to turn the ignition key to position 1 before disconnecting the negative terminal, otherwise the alarm siren will go off.
