Pads and discs ???

Exploding discs kill,simple as that.
Have a look above the bar in the Piston Klause for a segment of 993 disc!!
I recently inspected a disc, which was close to the outside of the disc, and advised marginal/ready to bin. After next 20 min session, the disc had split all the way to to the edge, and produced a 1mm step in the disc surface.
Saying this it was on a race porsche with aggresive braking.
Porsche always used to advise to replace the discs when any one hole had split to another hole, sounds like they are on the side of caution now also.

Hi all
I have run Pagid blues on my Ruf RCT and have had no problems at all since fitting them, however on standard brake pads I used a brand new set on the car and the N/S/R pads wore out in 1 trackday. It could n't take the heat generated in the area of the turbo (N/S/R bumper area) obviously very hot whilst on the track. Blues a little squeeky but great biteand fine on the road.
Could any ony tell me who would supply floating discs for my car, and would front and rear floating be the way forward??
Cheers all
Russ

It could well be an "odd" trackday,,,you could end up with mechanical damage to the car before possibly crashing it...worth the risk??.,,,if you do try such things for kicks, at least let a few of us know so we can keep our distance ;)

Clubsport, apreciated.

I left them with the specialist, I also was surprised at the idea of taking a chance.

There must be more obvious ways of achieving shrapnel wounds .... and as a novice I don't need any help !!
