Paint Code

Welcome to the capri-to-944 gang! You won't miss it too much!

Hi does anyone know where to find the paint code on a 944, just swapped my Capri for one and its kind of between gold and silver. Would be nice to know the actual name of the colour.

Cheers
Tim

Ly7Y you lucky man , Zermatt Silver metalic ( the colour of the car in my avatar) and for me the finest colour for the 'older' 944.

Have a gander at the one I still miss badly , and I've shown you mine so you show me yours [:D]

Well my powers of paint prediction were spot on this time round. [:)] My first 944 was Zermatt too and I must say I really liked it. Will post a picture presently or maybe one of DHX's two subsequent owners may oblige...

Not had a chance to give her a good clean yet.

Theres a few things I need to sort but overall Im really impressed.

Need some good front seats
New headlining
Autobox clunks between park/drive/neutral/reverse, any ideas? The gear changes in drive are perfect.
May switch the boxster 16" for something original
Hinge on cassette tray

Apart from that its looking good.

What Capri did you have amrbose14, I had a rosso red 1.6 then a black 2.0 laser.

Cheers

Lo again , nice to see her. Every camera shows Zermatt differently its a weird one.
I agree original wheels would be more appropriate and I shouldnt say that as I have a refurbed set of those very wheels in my garage :p

As an aside , I had a White Capri 1.6L for my first ever car ( in 1982) with would you believe a dark green interior and matching very dark Green Everflex ( vinyl) roof. It actually looked very nice until I am ashamed to admit , I put nasty chrome wheels on it but in my defence I was only 17. I later had a red 2.0 Capri that I bought 'very' cheep from a guy who had just lost his entire wages in a fruit machine , I kid you not. But thats another story [;)]
