A chance to blow the cobwebs out of your car before Easter.

Starting at the Peveril in the Peak Hotel (http://www.peverilofthepeak.co.uk), Thorpe nr Ashbourne, at between 10.00 am for early risers and 11.00 am for the stragglers (this is about 1 ½ hours drive from Northampton "" so an 8.30 am-ish start recommended), Peter Brearley has mapped out a 72 mile route with several stop-offs. You should be able to complete the run and get to The Navigation Inn, Stoke Bruerne by 6.30 for the Monthly Meeting that evening.

We need to get an idea of numbers in the next few weeks so please contact me, Peter (pbrearley@clara.co.uk) or post on this thread.

Me too please !

Had a great drive through the Peak District last year (with a bit of a hillclimb thrown in) and can heartily recommend it. [:D]

Surprisingly enough...(for all those people out there who think I don't actually drive the Clubbie)...We're in. Thanks for organising.

Hello,

I am interested as well but will not be able to confirm for definite until the week prior (just moving back to the UK so lots to sort out).

Would that be too late or still OK ?

Mike

Over from R8 and not going on the Rutland w/e.
Would love to gate crash onto your drive in the peak district, just have to confirm with the wife.
Any chance of a meet halfway, somewhere like donington services?

Rob

Franck. I'm sure Peter will be fine with a late-comer. Send him an email as soon as you can.

Rob. I'm sure we can pick you up on the way through. Can you send me your mobile number by email (R10@porscheclubgb.com) so we can co-ordinate on the day.

We're in danger of this becoming a good event...wow![:)] Let's keep up the momentum, please.....

Steve - I hope this isn't aimed at me ?

For the record my car made it out of the garage twice in January

Can't make the trip North but will be along for the regional meeting

Hello,

Anyone leaving from Banbury Area ? If so what about organising a little convoy ?

FXM

How about those from Leighton Buzzard/Milton Keynes/Banbury/Northampton meet up at Rothersthorpe Services (M1 - J15A) at stupid o'clock on Sunday morning??? If agreeable maybe someone (Mike?) can suggest a good time.

Regards

Dave

Steve,

I think it's around about the same time!! I wasn't sure just WHAT time we needed to meet other than "early" since I remember seeing that the plan was to meet somewhere in the Peak District for 10 or 11. Again, I seem to remember Mike saying it was about an hour and a half to get there (from where I'm not sure). If we are going to stop off at Donington I'm guessing J15A at about 8:00 to 8:30. Any other suggestions??

Regards

Dave

Edit: I've just re-read Mike's first post and he reckoned 9:00 - that's OK with me.

To make the run up less stressed, let's go for an 8.30 start at the M1 J15A services. (I've edited my first post above to reflect that.)

Have fun. The weather forecast looks good.
I'm looking forward to seeing the write up. [8|]

Well - many thanks to Peter and Brian for the stirling job they did in organising the drive. My Wife is gradually getting to grips with reading tulip diagrams and if the marriage survives the next few days we might have a go at the next one!!!

Seriously though - it was great. We thoroughly enjoyed the drive and the company ..... and the food at lunchtime was wonderful. I couldn't believe the size of the salad they served up with Jane's steak!!

I hope everyone made it home safe and well - the R10 meeting at the Navigation was a bit sparse but everyone understood (I think).

Regards

Dave
