Peak District Drive out '“ Sunday 13 March

Indeed, many thanks to Peter and Brian for the organisation as it was excellent.

I do confess that I thought the roads we travelled on were in a shocking state, not the mud (not an issue) but the pot-holes and general surface quality.

This route was hard work in the CS, and for the first time, I got to understand how tiring cross country driving can be when you are fighting the (non power assisted) steering as it negociates pot-holes / craters.

New found respect for people who do this competitively for a living !

In a car with hard suspension and minimal comforts, it was not for the faint hearted....but fun all the same.

P.S. - Rob / Kelly - thanks for riding shotgun on our "special route" diversion.

Thanks to everyone at R10 for making myself and Kelly feel welcome and for a top day out, made all the more interesting by the detour made prior to lunch[:D].

All that's left to do now is touch up the stone chips!!!

Once again many thanks, must do it again sometime.

Steve - No worries![;)].

Regards

Rob

Getting ready...If only this little clubbie new what was coming it's way. When we said "we're going to get you chipped" he had an entirely different idea in mind.

David's very inconspicious C4, with "subtle" exhaust. At one point, he pulled away and we could hear his car over a half mile away without any trouble at all...

Steve,

Nice pictures - thanks for posting. I didn't take any myself - too busy figuring out where to drive I think. I'm really surprised that my exhaust was sooo loud. Since I had it serviced in January and they found an 'O' Ring missing (which they replaced) I felt it was actually a little quiter than it used to be. Maybe I'm just getting used to it!!! Still, I've always liked "inconspicuous"!!

Regards

Dave

Just a couple of photo's from sunday, apologies for the standard, Kelly was to busy trying to use the passenger set of brakes.

Nice...

Wierd, but I have never seen my car "on the road". All the images I have are static.

P.S. C5POR is now in dry dock as this years project is well underway. I have a million screws of various shapes and sizes now scattered on my garage floor. [&:]
