Peak District Drive Saturday 2nd June

Hi all

You may have noticed in PP that Lindsey Worton and I are "organising" a drive up to and around the Peak District on Saturday 2nd June.

The route covers Buxton, the infamous "Cat & Fiddle" road, Snake Pass and finishes up in Bakewell while taking in some cracking driving roads and sights on the way. As the drive will be on a Saturday, people can join the convoy at some point on the M1 (or at Buxton) and/or staying Fri or Sat night up in the Peaks.

Lindsey is going to be driving the route this weekend to finalise the details and we will have a finished route plan next week.

If you are interested in this trip please reply on the forum and email me your contact details (email, mobile no.) so that we can build a list. Also, any local knowledge, tips on stops and eating places, info on good roads, etc. are most welcome.

Should be a great day out and a fantastic opportunity to exercise your cars on some of the best driving roads in the country [:D] so put the date in your diary and let us know.

Please also pass this on to friends in other regions who may be interested.

Regards,

Ravi Fernandez

Hi Ravi,

Ravi,

I hope so too! Having done the first Peak District Drive, I can strongly recommend it. Great roads, fantastic countryside and the roar of a Porsche - what more could you want...

Hi-Ravi.

Re our chat this morning, enjoyed meeting you all and if you can provisionally put me down for two people.

Larry and i would be interested in meeting up with you.

we are in Ashby-de-la-Zouch so i guess your be driving past at some point in order to get to Buxton.. we could either drop into the convoy as you go past (if you let us know the route/rough time) or meet at Buxton if you let us know where and when.

Ravi,

I had a chat to Lindsey at the R10 meeting this afternoon and we will hopefully join you. Jane has to re-arrange her days off 'cos she would normally be working that day but if it all works out we'll be there. We'll probably meet the convoy at M1 J15a services as you mentioned yesterday.

Regards

Dave

Glad to see that Dave (Computamedic) has come on board. Must have been the ear bashing I gave you yesterday Dave at the Clinic. Sounds like it will be a winner Ravi - it is gather pace...

Cheers

Dave

Just in case the elusive Spring Newsletter doesn't get here, what time are we planning to meet at the J15a Services??? I'm assuming it's going to be around Stupid O'Clock but it'd nice to tie it down a little closer!!!

Hi Dave (and everyone else)

We are currently planning to meet at 8.30 so we can get organised and set off around 9am. I've got young kids (and now a 6 week old puppy) so that's practically the middle of the day for us... [:D] or should that be [].

Please keep an eye on the forum nearer the date as we'll post any changes here.

Cheers,

Ravi

Hi Ravi

As I suspected things have happened which makes it imposible for Pip and I to join you on Saturday 2nd, but I am sure there will be other runs in which we can take part.
Both you and Lindsey must have put in a great deal of work putting this together, so I hope the weather is kind and you all have a great day.

Andy Cooke
