RSR, is yours the one that Ferg has bought?

I put him in touch with Andy Fearns, my tech who is now doing the Porsche side of things at AmD.

Car came out well on the inspection, from what I've heard. [:)]

Yes thats right Dom. Andy did a leakage test and it was only 2% to 3% on every cylinder. Just goes to show that Porsche must blue print them after all.

I saw yours and Allans cars while I was up there. You been chasing badgers Dom. [:D]

I must say I was also very very impressed with Andy's knowledge and methodical approach and would recommend him to anyone. No doubt I'll be seeing more of him in the future.

Is that like a sump guard Dom? Anybody told him the engine's at the other end? Doh![:D]

Sorry for delay in responding. Been at Brunters for a Goldtrack evening event but came home early 'cause I broke my 924--Overevved it a bit & think the timing has jumped.

The bar underneath the front was on the car when I bought it, allegedly it has a 993 part number ? In most foreign cities parking is an issue so multistories are the norm, so ramp angles are steep and this protects the spare wheel well from being dented on such ramps.

Hehe, no, but the fact it has been off road for ages has done wonders for the myth

I sold the car to Andy when I bought a new house (needed the deposit dosh) and he decided to rebuild it from the shell up. When he was 90% there he asked if I wanted it back, so funds recovered, I went for it. It currently lies at about 95% completion (after a year of progress!). So it looks like it has been heavily rebuilt from a major badger attack, but it has really just been a restoration job.

Hopefully it'll be back soon - meant to be taking it to the 'ring in June with Andy.

Pricing issue now happily resolved and car is going in again soon to hunt for the missing donkies and check geometry.
This week it is having wheels refurbed and seat backs colour coded....More expense

993GT2 Welcome and I too would love 325 BHP but cant afford it

Allan

Andy got 298bhp out of the Baron the other day, no enlarged throttle body, hotfilm or Motec in sight. Quite a nice result as the AmD rolling road is pretty impartial and only 1 or 2 bhp shy of JZ's. However, that was at 7800rpm... he decided to let the engine rev out to see what the old girl would do. Needless to say it will be reigned back in to 7200 rev limit for road use, and approx 285bhp.

What an engine!

I have the option of chucking a Turbo 4 lump in there at a price that is approx the same as a supercharger or Motec stage 1, but not sure whether I'll even bother

You're only copying Porsche GmBH tho' Des - they colour coded the backs of the seats for the 968CS if you remember. [;)] Weissach got there first, again, hehe.

Yes Badger Basher.....correct, the colour coded seats was an expensive factory option in it's day along with colour keyed wheels..........nice to see you are also taking a cosmetic interest in your car......Oh and don't forget your Porsche Logo stickers...correctly spaced and applied...

Hehe, it is yin and yang in action.

When people choose the Porsche 'debadge' option, the factory put all the left over crests in a pot labelled 'D. Sturdee' and send them over to the UK with an xmas card in December.

Someone must want 'em, eh?

[;)]

Well, I salute the badger!

PS I notice my anti-cupholder footnote has set a trend, first Mr Bennett, now you. Good stuff... the Anti-Cupholder Alliance goes from strength to strength, mwahhhhahahhahahahaha!!!!
