Pet hates, other drivers.

Thanks, Oli,

Just to reinforce that it was meant as a joke - there's just some things we can't say in jest these days. And rightly so, I guess.

Hope to see you on the 12th!

Personally I don't have a problem with people using the parent and child spaces when they don't have kids. I don't do it (regularly any way as I admit I have done in the past).

The reason being that they are always in a prime location meaning "normal" people have to park much further from the door. As a friend who has 2 children once said (before anyone who knows I don't have kids makes the wrong assumption) "OK, I have kids so it's handy to be able to swing the door wide open, but I'm still able to walk so they don't have to be right outside the door". Call me lazy if you like, but I don't really appreciate that if I'm nipping into Tesco's for a carton of milk and it's peeing down that the only spaces I'm allowed to park in are over 300 yards from the shop.

The spaces are for parent and child so does that mean that if i go shopping with my mother can we use the space as it doesnt give an age limit does it !!!

You'll be there? Good!

Oli.
That's not a threat is it - I hate being a moderator! At least I'll have Paul Smith to back me up - from in front of me....
No - just that I am a bit worried that we'll be thin on numbers, so any extras is good news!

Mods always pay for the drinks I'm told, so it'll be good to have you both there.

Oli.

Well I think you all pretty much covered my hates just a few to add
Those that go right on roundabouts from the left lane.
Those who exhibit extremely poor observation and anticipation.
Middle and outside lane hogs annoy me less than they used too, now I seem to have my own private lane to share with lorries.

The driver that most annoyed me ever was driving a large motorhome under an arched bridge whilst I was approaching towing a speedboat his motorhome was not tall enough to require him moving over but he did right over to my side, I stopped right against the curb almost collecting the car behind me, and he had the audacity to make a rude gesture at me - Complete Tossp*t!

Oh and people who complain about being tailgated (dont tailgate its wrong) They are almost definately lane hogs.

Tony

Oh and its mostly bottom of the range BMW drivers 316, 520 etc. they think they own 'the ultimate driving machine' and therefore have a right to get in the way not indicate etc.

The other drivers that can be a pain are volkswagen/Audi TDi drivers as they think they are so quick they often feel the need to hold you up whilst billowing diesel fumes.
