Dico, I had to leave after lunch too as my better half was poorly ill and getting worse. Managed to fit in a rather cool passenger ride with Frazer in his black 968 CS complete with Supercharger from Ninemeister - thanks Frazer, love your car especially on those wheels, you're a gent! Now I know I have to get mine on track sooner rather than later[]
Dico, didn't see your car though - where were you parked?
Cheers
Nick - you are most very welcome - sorry, I wasn't aware your other half was poorly - hope to catch up soon, and hope your other half makes a full and speedy recovery.

Adam!!! Where were you? [&:]
Weather was fine for photos, with virtually no rain until 3.30pm ish. I had two announcements over the tannoy for you, but no Adam Calvert came to Race Control, leaving me with egg on my face & rather annoyed after the emails that I sent to OP management on your behalf....
I'm confused after such a build-up and all these enthusiastic replies from local PCGB members - sorry you were let down folks.
Roddy []
Disappointing.

Frazer, thanks - she's on the mend today, I think!
Next time, I'll make sure I know how to fasten my new helmet before asking for any passenger rides...[]
Thanks again
Nick, I had a good look round your 944 and it looks a beaut, nice wheels too. I thought all turbo models had 'Turbo' embossed on the door handles? (just pretending I know a bit!).
I flashed another red 44 on my way out. Anyone here?

Our garage was the focal point for a lot of R5 members to drop by. Sorry that it sounds like we missed some of you (I'm sure I saw Dico's car parked closed to us - garages 9 and 10).
With it being such a busy day, perhaps the photoshoot was always going to be difficult to organise because of finding each other but as Roddy says, the announcement of the PA system for Adam to meet at the control tower was clear for all to hear.
If Adam still wants to do a photoshoot, I guess making it a dedicated day/venue would be the way forward?
Gratuitous shot of me on track []
Mine was parked away from the garages, I did spot yours but didn't realise it was you [8|]
I'm at the Donington Lotus day in a couple of weeks as a passenger, and looking forward to it! []

Ah, spotted the helmet on your rear seat. Thought you may have been having a go on track

Pity we missed each other!
Have never heard of the turbo embossed door handles before....[]
Great day all round.
Loved the white C2 too
I was in contact with Roy and text him saying that i wasnt going to come if the weather was bad, where i live it was raining so i told Roy that i wasnt going to come and he replied 'ok no problem'
Im not on here to cause an argument or anything, but lack of communication has caused me to not turn up.
I will be interested in coming to a meet and setting a little photo session up, but it seems i might be on bad terms now.
Hope you all had a good day.

Roddy - After sending a email regarding a press pass, there was no reply so i asumed that you hadnt got me one. I also sent you a email the night before asking what time is it on, i even left my mobile number so you could contact me, there was no reply on both fronts.

No one will be on bad terms with you. As said above it was a very busy event and probably not the best day to get people together that don't already know each other. Everyone enjoyed themselves. With more than 100 Porsches on site that day, how could we not? []
I too got your e-mail but not until after the day. [&:] You didn't need a press pass because as you'll see earlier in the thread Roddy had already cleared that with Oulton.
I would suggest keeping this thread running and arranging another day, especially for a photo shoot. I'll be there if available []

Anyway, as Steve says, no hard feelings. Why don't you just come along to Gawsworth/Chatsworth or car park concours (see post about events) & play it by ear when you arrive? Might be better []
Nice photo Steve! Here's one for R5 section on the PCGB website that we scraped together:
