Picked up my new Cayman S yesterday..

ORIGINAL: chrisH Sorry to say but the factory tour with PCGB is over £1k plus transport there and back, so however good it is it made me think again about doing it. Your can go there on your own anytime Mon -Friday without a booking, I have been told. Anyone arranging a group of enthusisasts, let me know.
Err, not sure where you got that figure. It's actually more like half of that, albeit plus transport, but it is also for a three night stay, and trips to more than just Porsche. It covers all your food and drink, entrance fees and travel in Germany. Once you tot up the costs of doing it yourself, I think you'll find it is very competitive.

That what I was quoted for joining this tour last year, must have changed then but he said it had always been that sort of amount plus your transport to & from Stuggart by car or plane is extra.

Just checked, we paid £595 per head. That was the flying option (you have to pay for your own flights), and as I recall it was £495 per head if you drove there (cheaper as you do not require local transport). That cover 3 nights in the hotel, all meals and most drink, entry to Porsche, Mercedes and Audi plus the Sinsheim museum and Ruttger workshop, plus the fact is all organised for you. Great value I thought.

I checked the info I received in January for this Sept's visit and the starting price is for Leipzig/ Stuttgart based and is £1275 per person exclusive of transport to and from the area. You certainly got a good deal and if you know how to get a place for less than half the going rate let me know.

I can only assume the Leipzig trip is more expensive for some reason, cos those are the prices I paid a few weeks ago for the Stuttgart trip

John, Note this is also the price for the Stuttgart based visit. Please could you PM me the details stating the price you paid so I can compare it with the Appl'n form I have from RW. Something not right here, perhaps you picked up a cancelled slot. Tks, Chris
