Picking up a 944 tomorrow!!

Spacers would be over 1" to make up the difference between the older offset and the later one. Last possibility is that someone made Design 90 replicas to suit the older offset like they did Cup wheels. I have no idea if they did but genuine D90s will have the rim width and the offset cast either side of the valve stem. They should be 7 and 8 front and rear and the offset is 52 or 55 (forget which way round). To emphasise the difference with older offset cars they run offsets of around 23, so something like 30mm different. I've been trying to think if it's possible a C-plate car was built with ABS offset but I don't see any way that was possible - it came out pretty much with E-reg I think.ORIGINAL: Clint B
Cheers for the pointers Fen. I'll take this on board when I go see him tommorow, and ask about those wheel spacers. Out of interest do the spacers affect the way the car should drive? Are there any problems with them?? How much would they offset the wheel width?? About 3-5mm would be my guess??
Now wheres the pick of that blemish ...

Secondly, I'm thinking about changing the steering wheel and have a choice of these three. All are pretty decent and genuine Porsche (hence them being around £250!!) Which one do you guys like best ??

Option one - 968 CS. Very nice, wish I'd got this one. It is a Porsche wheel.
Option two - like what I've got. I'm not convinced it is a genuine Porsche wheel and I'm not keen on the way the leather on the rim laps over the leather on the spokes - Option one seems much nicer in construction.
Option three - Again, I'm not sure on its heritage though it looks nicely made.
I'd go for option one. If you want option two I could sell you mine and then I could get option one []
If you do a long term search on wheels it will pull up a previous thread.
Moderator! I think this post needs attention [] I think Clint's number 2 looks fine as well [&:]ORIGINAL: Diver944
I am very happy with the lapping on my rim []

My choice would be one or two, but lets face it, any of the three will be nicer than the standard thin item (uncomfy, and dates the interior soooo much).

Have a look at Design911 ~ go to "Interior Accessories" then "Steering Wheels". Prices seem pretty good (?)
I'm rather interested in the R1 Race wheel they have (which I think is made by richbrook?). Comes with Porsche Crest centre cap for only £99 +VAT, and it's the "correct" 350mm diameter. £35 for a (Momo) boss kit and Robert is your mothers brother....
Anyone any experience of richbrook wheels?

They are about £300 in the UK but the link below will post them to you from the States and they are nearly half the price after the dreaded import duty and post.
The weathershield is really really good.
Just do a search on the site using your specific car, pick colour, job done.

Didn't get one myself cause I realised it would be very difficult to get on / off in my (very thin) garage!
