Porsche state tyres thoroughly tested and approved by them are indicated by the N-marking (the letter stands for "Nürburgring” where the tyres are tested).
Lately the 'N', has been followed by a second letter indicating the model line. So for 992, the tyre will be marked NA, indicating it is N – approved by Porsche and A – developed for the Porsche 992 model. Porsche N-rated tyres differ from others primarily in terms of geometry, rubber composition and testing methods.
But there appears to be a problem with some sizes of Michelin's PS4S offering. For instance, whilst the 305/30ZR21 and 315/30ZR21 (rear axle) have NA0 rating, 255/35ZR20 (97Y) XL (front axle) only has N0 - the earlier rating. So the question is, will this be an acceptable combination for 992?
I have raised this, but so far have yet to receive a reply. I will revert here once I have an answer. ??

Clive
