We chose qualifying as it meant we could be in and out in an hour or so rather than watch the cars go round and round etc.
DC's off was a sight to behold, the 40" Samsung screen is excellent but some of the detail isn't quite there. Probably because the transmission isn't HD.
The lovely chaps in the OPC (Peter's your man) gave me a drive in a C4S cabrio tip. Whattacar. Superb. Mad with bells on. I want one when I grow up.
Even have approval from the boss, but she refuses to ....(enter your choice of money-making escapade here).
So, if there's anyone out there with a clean unabused low mileage cheap C4 cabrio then I might be looking. Anyone want a 2000 MY low miles (36k) 2.7 Boxster?
I know of a couple of C2's out there but I really like the idea of a C4.
Cheers and enjoy the race.

I could not stand the 6 months we would have to suffer of Lewis to get every award ever thought of by media as well as knighthood, life peerage, sainthood etc
That said I thought he had blown it by not winning it last year in that amazing first season
This year wondered if there would be a lack of experience in team as well as a repeat of last years fiasco with two equally fast drivers diluting focus but the one thing you need, luck, all seems to be going Lewis's way []

Would you prefer we support the Montys,Murrays and Coulthards of this world?AKA the losers?? the uk needs a winner at something.....anything and Lewis is actually very good at motor racing so i think he deserves all the praise he is getting. I personally think its fantastic that a young driver is showing the more experienced drivers how its done?? As for luck, Kimi was the luckiest driver last year winning the championship due to Lewis's "bad" luck and remember the constructors championship was handed to ferrari due to the infamous spy gate carry on. Massa spinning off and Kimi going through 2 nose cones including taking out Sutil "and" letting Lewis do him at the lights is not Lewis's problem. The 40 second lead he had showed he had both Ferraris in his back pocket.

The great F1 conundrum - like a lot of "superstars" in the one of the best cars how good would he be if he had not been under Ron's (admirable as it is)wing for 10 years? Take yesterdays race for example put some of the chargers from lower teams in a Ferrai or Mclaren and how fast would they be?
I personally dont understand the "haters" of any kind of success the uk has,(same breed that keyed my day old elise many years ago for no apparent reason i assume) i for one look upto the Schumachers,Jordans and Tiger woods of this world - the winners, not the losers or the glorious failure brigade.

Just back from the OPC did not bother wasting anyones time test driving as I have no intention of buying a car ,the red 997 4s cab was stunning looking i have to say ,Not a big turnout about 10 people there so plenty of sannies for us all Spoke with Peter the sales manager he is new to Porsche and knew nothing about the club or its association with Porsche AG did my selling job as to how it would help havening a good rapport with the members ,and would look at the possibility of havening us along as a club similar to the Edinburgh visit but smaller as they do not have the space As most of you know they are moving to a new site at Braehead will be the largest Porsche site in the UK.
It was also quiet on the Saturday, i was assuming the Scottish Cup final was to blame but if only 10 turned up on the Sunday then maybe there was no genuine interest. Interesting point on the new OPC opening at Braehead next to the Audi centre. I always did think Glasgow OPC was a bit of a joke with regards to its showroom size and service centre.

On balance there was skill but I think at lot of luck as well yesterday
Luck being a fickle thing Sutil could just as easily have been on podium or even won! (OK so i'm typing this in sun in back gardens)

Lewis to win the CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!
I stick by my quote, and whether you like him or loathe him, luck or no luck, whether the media blows his trumpet tenfold everytime he steps out of his luxury trailer, you got to admit, LEWIS is one talented young driver who deserves all the breaks he gets (metaphorically speaking!!)[]
