Porsche Centre Swindon Open Morning - 7th February

Hi Alan,

We have tried to 'phone you and email you.

We feel it is very unfair to take up two places on this trip to Dick Lovett's, when there are two of your own members unable to visit because of pressure on numbers.

We therefore will willingly give up those places so that your members can attend. We will still have plenty to do on that day as we are attending a ball at the Angel in Royal Wootton Bassett on the evening of the 7th. February.

Thank you anyway, and we hope that it is a successful visit.

Put me down for the pub visit after the dealer visit. And I'm region 31, not 13. This will be my first PCGB event, so be gentle with me.

Hi Sue,

Sorry you couldn't reach me. I did send you an email and left a message on your voicemail to thank you. Your offer is very much appreciated and I will mention this to members on our reserve list.

Once again thanks.

Alan.

We will be going to the nearby Sally Pussey's Inn at Royal Wooton Basset afterwards for lunch. Please let us know by Tuesday 3rd February if you want to join us so we can advise the manager of numbers. (An asterisk by your name indicates you have told us you want to eat at Sally Pussey's.)

Just don't look at the Trip Advisors bad comments!

Derek, you know everyone will now go and look.

There are more good than bad comments about the pub in question. It's a big old Arkells "family" pub that does a Sunday carvery roast dinner for ÂŁ9; that should give all of us a clue as to what to expect. Most of the Trip Adviser comments are favourable. I'm looking forward to it. Hope to see lots of you there after the PC Swindon visit.

We'll be confirming numbers for lunch this Saturday with the Sally Pussey's Inn tomorrow morning, so if you want to join in, please let us know today. Many thanks.

To everyone who is going to the Open Morning on Saturday, Porsche Centre Swindon have reserved the car park on the left exclusively for us to use for the morning. Upon arrival please therefore park in the car park on the left hand side. The space in front of the dealership is limited and needed for demonstrators and cars belonging to service customers. BTW, we suggest you aim to arrive around 09:30. See you there.

Hi Alan,
just found out I need to work tomorrow morning so we will go direct to Swindon. I might be a bit late getting there but I will be there.
Regards,
James

James, is this independent arrival a covert operation to make sure that your engine compartment is spotless and are you removing your wheels to clean and detail properly? I have my clipboard at the ready. Will commence inspection as soon as you arrive.
Regards,
Kirk

As you well know Kirk my 928 is as it came out of the factory so that was the last time the inside of the wheels were clean.
Also after seeing the value of the 'barn find' cars in France recently I have to be very careful with my car and I cannot risk too much of the dust, sorry patina blowing away so will be travelling slowly.
This is to increase its value not because it is cold and I will be watching the rugby tonight.

I hope your car will be impeccable also. When will you pick it up from Autofarm, in the Morning?

And there was Alan worried about whether he should wash the Boxster... [:D]

Fiona (Senior Porschette)

James,

Thank you for the clarification. I have adjusted the judging criteria to take into account your claimed "original" factory dust. I will bring the carbon dating kit to test the veracity of your claim. Dishonesty will be severly penalised. With regard to barn find status; should I bring some straw and some cow s...? To aid authenticity?

No my car will not be picked up from Autofarm tomorrow they are delivering it to my residence....prewarmed and ready to go.

Fiona, I did not realise Alan washed his boxers........

Regards,
Kirk

Alan, has the burger van been reviewed on Trip Adviser? If it has not Derek will be really upset?

Regards,
Kirk

Thank you Kirk for the offer to bring items to help my car's barn find status.
Would it not be easier for you to bring bull s***? [:D]
No need for carbon dating equipment I still have the eBay receipt for my authentic 1991 Stuttgart dust. It is sold in 5 - 15 kg bags direct from the factory (vacuum cleaner).
Sorry to hear Autofarm is only able to get your car to your house and not able to deliver and collect direct to Swindon. Is it back in to them Monday for a service (wash)?
