Porsche Colour

Hi, Could anyone tell me if S2 is in a colour used by Porsche on the 944?

This S2 was originally white but has been resprayed in 2005 at the cost of £2000, I that about right for a decent respray?

Thanks

Linen is a possibility, and quite a good one as my thought was it might be a little too gold to be Zermatt, but Zermatt isn't pinky; that's silver rose

Yup that's Linen Mettalic, same as mine. Paint code is LM1U. Zermatt Silver just looks silver to my eyes, Linen is pale gold.

No, it isn't. A zermatt car is more gold than the wheels. If your car is just silver then it isn't Zermatt, it's another silver that I can't remember the name of.

Linen metallic like my old 964....sigh, memories, memories[:)]

I loved that colour as it looked silver in some lights and more goldy in others.

Well it's interesting that you say that (Fen), because when I bought it I looked for pictures of other Zermatt Silver cars and some were as you describe but some weren't.

Anyway, my colour code is LY7Y which I believe is Zermatt Silver. Also, I've had paintwork done on the car using that colour code with a perfect match.

It is definitely just silver though with no gold tinge.

Krystal silver is the one I was thinking of - which is a normal silver. Zermatt is a funny one; I actually wonder if some people see it as more gold than others. It certainly looks pretty gold to my eye, but not so much as Linen.

Do you think yours looks the same colour as the wheels?

Yes, it's very silver. Although my D90s have been refurbished so may be a little more sparkly than usual.

Come to think of it, I had my centre caps painted in Zermatt when I had bodywork done (lazy yes, but they were tatty and it was free) and they're an exceptionally close match to my silver silver wheels.

Most odd. They look very different to me, but I can't see how they wouldn't to anyone in as close proximity as a centre cap and a wheel.
