Porsche Display at Althorp - 30th May

Yes please Steve, can I borrow wheel arch liner polish to make sure I am spic and span on the day?

[:D]

Sue,

You can include mine if you feel it's suitable.

Regards

Dave.

PS Missed you and Kelvin on the Peak District drive today - it was very enjoyable.

Now we are passed Stoke Goldington we can focus on the next event.

Spoke with the Rotary Club this morning and checked on the details to make sure we have not missed anything. Luckily, for you, there is absolutely no paper work to do! That's right none.

I have a bit but that's hardly a hardship.

I put forward our minimum space requirements a few weeks ago and they have been accepted. I've also bee told that there is plenty of room so we can have a little extra (brilliant).

I have in my hand a number of very nice "Exhibitor" passes. Enough for everyone. At least, with the news that Rob is unable to make the day, that means we should be able to get all 14 vehicles there.

I also have a layout plan for the day, but this is still subject to change, although I believe that our position is fixed. (right next to the main arena.

I am waiting for confimation about whether we will be doing an arena drive through, but that is not essential right now.

Sue has been gathering information over the last few weeks and I think we nearly have everyones details.

So the next steps

1) Make sure we have everyones Car details - "A4 description". For those who went to SG you should have one and this can be used. For those without we will get them laminated. (It's likely I will need a new one as I will hopefully be taking my new car[;)]). Please let us me/Sue know either way, so we can get them arranged. And of course, if your taking your own, don't forget it!

2) Contact details, I need to arrange for passes to be sent to you so I will need your postal address please.

3) Emergency phone numbers, mobile, etc. So we can keep contact if any problems arise. I have some from the SG event.

4) Email address, is easiest to update you all at once, without having to make the whole of the PCGB forum suffer the chit chat, so please make sure we have a current one which you access frequently. If not, then you might not be reading this. So we diffinately need a phone number.

The web site will now be updated more frequently so keep checking.

We'll keep you posted. Next stop Althrop.

Sue/Tony...

Until now Karen and I couldn't be sure we could make it. We are definalty coming to the event now so if you need anymore cars (89 3.2 Carrera) then let me know.

Happy to stand in as a reserve if your full, just let me know up to the evening before.

You may have contact details as I was at Stoke Goldington on Saturday if not mail me and I'll send them to you. I also have a laminated car details sheet.

Cheers

Andy

Tony I see from theshire.eclipse website that you're pretty full, but if you need another reserve then my wife Debbie said she'd like to bring her 944 S2 (we only live a couple of miles away)

Great day, fabulous weather, excellent coffee (and company) and the Lancaster/Spitifire/Hurricane fly-past was totally awesome. Even got to see Diana's 'Island'. Althorp is such a lovely place.

Well done for sorting this Tony (and Sue), nice one [;)]

Agreed!!! A day for firsts for me. First time to Althorp, first time I've seen a Lancaster and first time I've seen Michelle driving a CS!!!!

Excellent company as usual, weather finally got it's act together.

A couple of pics attached.

Regards

Dave

It must have been a good day, my family came back buzzing from it. Debbie even tells me she was the first to wipe down her car after the rain showers *faints*

But seriously. It was a fantastic day - thanks for organising it, look forward to meeting you all again soon! (Perhaps we should invest in some tables and wicker baskets like the Morgan owners!! [;)])

ORIGINAL: Debra Smith

Watch it, cheeky! [;)] I think you can see me wiping down the roof in Dave's first picture!

Wow yes [][][]

He must have had a quick shutter - this is now my screen saver at work [;)]

Our thanks to Tony and indeed Sue for organising/putting this event together, it did start a little wet (possibly because Tony was wearing shorts) but the Sun came out as he changed to trousers [;)] His new Boxster looked great in Red under the sunshine..The sun really lifted as we entered the ring.
We had a great day out and very much enoyed the company, and the fly past was brilliant to watch.
Our thanks to all, and Yes the Morgan car club seem to know how to do a picnic (shame they all came late and went early[:-])

Six Rolls Royce Merlin engines in close formation... even better sounding than the flat six.

Great day and great company...[:)]

I finally got to meet a few R10 people, since I haven't yet managed to make it to a meeting, thanks for the friendly welcome.
