Porsche HQ Reading Visit and Drive 20th April

Tank full of shell v power today (though not the new v power nitro plus I've just been emailed about-has anyone tried it yet?)-looking forward to the day
Tony

Had a great day today, lovely company and fantastic organisation from Peter & Leslie who even imported some decent weather for the event! Thanks Peter for organising and loved following you on the roller-coaster during the last stage (especially nearly taking off over the bridge).

Really enjoyed the OPC tour and I felt like a kid in a sweetshop! I really need to persuade Louise that we need a new replacement for hers [:)]

Funny moment was at Blenheim Palace when the jobsworth security guard decided he was going to shut the gates and then disappeared leaving Matt and I locked in! Luckily we escaped out the other exit [:)]

I'll get some photos of the day posted soon. Hope to see you soon on a future outing.

Cheers for now
Simon

A great first run with some fellow 991's and our friends with 997s.

Big thank you to Porsche Reading and HQ for showing us some special cars including a third of all UK Carrera GTs parked up or on the ramps. Don't these owners drive their cars??

We were lucky with the weather, the traffic, and some fine roads but rather too many potholes

Sadly Paul collected a puncture, albeit in a scenic spot, but a long journey home on the back of a transporter []

All ending up at Blenheim, albeit some delayed longer than others [:D][:D]

Terrific run. Some great roads and scenery.

Nice to see restoration of the GT1 is now complete and it looked fantastic in the workshop.[8D]

Some really dreamy motors at Reading, but then again some really dreamy motors on the run too.

Great pity about Paul's puncture but everyone else thoroughly enjoyed it, I believe. [:)]

Thanks Peter and Lesley and congratulations on the success of your inaugural Register event. [;)]

Regards,

Clive.

Thanks to Peter and Leslie for carefully planning a great day and route. I Enjoyed the visit to Porsche GB and it was great to see the GT1 ; a highlight for me.
Roads and weather were first class as well as the company- the 991 and 997's looked great in the sunshine.

Hiya All, hope everyone made it home ok with cars safe ( mine not clean yet..! )
Thanks Peter for all the arrangements that went together so well. The tour of the Garage had the adrenaline going for everyone I think ( especially the premium Garage room to the rear )
A shame to have the one tyre let Paul down together with the woefully inadequate re inflation kit, ( hope the wheel rim is ok for you...! )
In all it was just good to run the cars for what they are made for after the lenghty sub zero winter.
Thanks again and catch up soon,
Matt
p.s just a note I am a member of the club, contrary to the 'guest' listing below my name..

Yellow is a popular colour there, particularly like the Cayman, looks cracking. Some nice piccies Simon.

Yes, I have to agree Pete that yellow looks very tasty on the cayman. I quite like the 991 with the kit also especially with the grey wheels. Ive already started dropping hints to Louise about her next replacement!

Btw I will be rejoining the Porsche club ASAP.

Cheers
Simon
