Porsche only Trackday "" Elvington 20th Novemeber.

I am organising a Porsche only Trackday @ Elvington on the 20th November. The day is to be run by "˜fast club' www.fastclubuk.com who are very experienced trackday organisers.

The plan is to have a maximum of 15 cars to allow for optimum track time and plenty of clear track. This will be ideal for Novices who want to do trackdays but without the risk of damaging their cars as Elvington has huge run off areas. Instruction laps will be available too.

In addition to the track layout we are planning on having a "˜handling' area where you can practise over steer etc,

This should be extremely good fun with the benefit of spending the day with fellow Porsche enthusiasts and hopefully learning more about your cars handling.

Price is £139 for the day. If you would like to join us please let me know on here or mail me.

It was mentioned at clubnight last night and there semed to be a bit of positve feedback so you might get some response soon.

Regards,

Neil Eldred

If I can sort some track insurance out, I'll head the list of the Yorkshire contingent!

Small spotters fact - Elvington is, (or at least used to be), one of the only places outside the USA they can land the Space Shuttle. Hopefully it won't be in orbit on the 20th though.....[;)]

My car is currently having a little bit of TLC applied to the bodywork so may not be on road before 20th November - Depending on my car availability I would be interested (will make contact later - to see if there are spaces left).

Is Elvington tarmac or concrete? Worried about concrete airfield courses on tyres and load on car ..... Any advice ?

I have heard Elvington can be hard on tyres, but I suppose that is the trade off for having huge empty spaces with nothing to hit[:D]

Hi James,

Would have loved to come along, but I've just splashed out on a new steering wheel. Must keep my spending in check as Christmas is fast approaching! Are you allowing any spectators??[;)]

most people attending are complete novices [:D]

If you are a novice then this would be ideal. A track with huge run-offs , nothing to hit [:D] , only a small number of cars running and a handling area too [:D]

ok

the wife will let me come out to play.
Can you please send me details - e mail gazandjan@hotmail.com

cheers

Gary
