Porsche RS Steering Wheel

Thanks simon, 944 horn rings don't look readily available on eBay, so I think I'll be keeping the cs.
Regards

Martin, I have one and it is currently fitted to my 944 turbo so has the right boss. I have a Momo wheel that I plan to fit, maybe tomorrow. Once I've fitted it and am happy with it the RS wheel could be available.

Hi Jim

That would be great, keep me posted [:)]

I have a RS wheel on mine that looks and feels great (in top nick, too).

However, I think I prefer a thicker cross-section wheel.

How does a leather lozenge compare to these?

Russ

Slender but its a very high quality wheel. If they were 340mm is diameter then Id never change it. Speaking of diameter their boss is off centre too, so changing for a smaller wheel seldom gives you a deal of extra knee room.

Probably because most breakers now are just chancers who bought a cheap car, know next to nowt about them and didn't realise that the horn rings differed or were separate parts. Speak to a pre-internet breaker and you should have one for a pound or two.

My cab has an RS wheel and I like the feel of it but prefer the look of the CS with embossed crest. I do like the lozenge too and appreciate a strong steering wheel - I had a big head on (in a TR7) 25 odd years ago and reversed the dish of the aftermarket wheel but had very little seatbelt bruising, by contrast I had a much lower speed head on as a passenger, and with nothing of substance to brace against I had a painfull purple stripe across my chest after a couple of days.

Cheers gents, I was only keeping the lozenge in case I needed to fit it if I sold my CS, but hopefully I'll never be that desperate for 200 quid! & as it's not a direct swap I'll get rid of my lozenge when I get round to it as haven't really got the time or inclination to be be faffing around
Regards
