I wonder how much an engine dyno costs?

I don't know the answer on cost but there is one in the UK owned by porsche specialist Neil Bainbridge. I not even sure if anyone could run a 993 engine on an engine dyno as it is not as simple as the early cars because you need all the ECU stuff out the car as well. Much simpler with carbs or MFI.

Most of the porsche tuners will have 993 data stored in thier rolling roads. Bod Watson almost certainly does. Therefore although each rolling road gives different figures they should be able to compare to previous runs with other 993s. That's the advantage of putting your car on a rolling road other 993s have been on.
