Porsched up !

Zeb,
Can you take some B&W photos on your Box Brownie and post them on here so we can decide for ourselves what colour it is. [:)]

Cheers

3AX is Zenith Blue - there is no Azure Blue. Anyway, very nice colour.

aha! thanks for clearing that one up richard...zenith blue it is then...I will send word for the salesman to be ritually tarred and feathered ! [:D]

What's wrong with owning a 996 and living in Sheffield [8D] ..........................even thought the battery is so damn flat I can't open the bonnet to get the jump leads out[:(]

Nothing Veronica as long as you are still living in Sheffield.[8|][;)] You can always sell the 996 for something else.

It is when people realise that the grass IS greener on the other side and sneak over the border whilst the guards are having a cuppa.[:)]

I'm a Southerner doing missionary work up here in Lancashire so you can imagine what a culture shock is was for me.

Cheers,

whats the PSE by the way?

PSE = Porsche Spare Engine. Useful option for any 996 owner (excl turbos and GT3's)

:) :)

Drat! I knew there was a good reason everyone raves about it? Anyone got a spare 3.6, mine is in bits!

Rob,
What is happening to your engine. Totally cream crackered or repairable?

(Didn't have this sort of problem with that trusty 944).

Cheers,

Am not entirely sure... I believe it is completely cream crackered, a conrod has let go and caused so much internal damage that the starter motor needs replacing, as does the clutch which is contaminated with oil. Not heard from Bolton since last week as Dealer Principal has been away. Their view seems to be that it's nothing to do with what they did to it last year but I'm not yet sure how they can reach that conclusion given that we don't know (and may never know) what caused it to let go? It is apparently more cost effective to fit a new engine than strip down mine. I am, obviously, at this stage, over the fucking moon!
