Post Christmas Party 6th Jan 2018

Fingers crossed, everyone who attended our Post Christmas party had a great time, sadly a couple of members couldn't make it due to a least one of the horrible viruses that have affected most of us over the festive period, I hope you get well soon.
It still amazes me that, as a region, we can fill a function room ourselves these days and not have to piggy back on other Christmas events or functions. It shows just how far our region has developed in a very short period of time.
It was of course a great pleasure to spring our awards last night in recognition of those who often go the extra mile and I am sure you will all agree, went to some very worthy recipients.

Just proves behind every man there is a stronger woman keeping us right, eh guys.
Well done to you all & thank you all for your help, support and commitment during 2017.

Just a quick note to thank you both for a great night last night - we both really enjoyed it & everyone’s company. Rita managed to stumble going down the steps at the main entrance (the last isn’t a full step) going her full length into the side of the taxi. I also stumbled on the same step but before I got the words out to be careful, she was in free fall mode & couldn’t catch her. We certainly weren’t drunk.
Apart from being very sore, nothing broken luckily & the taxi was fine!

Hi everyone thankyou for a great R3 Christmas night at Beamish Hall. The hotel staff realiy helped make the evening more special with their table circling timed plate delivery and attentivness. And a massive thankyou Gregg and Debb for brillant evening.

Thanks for arranging such a fantastic night it was absolutely brilliant. To say we were gobsmacked to win the award is an understatement which I'm sure you could tell anyway by the way I was lost for words (more surprising was that Ang was also lost for words which is a first!)
Would like to pass on a special thanks to Chris and Pat who were the first members we met on our first run out with the group to Whitby, together they helped us to fit in, introducing us to everyone and making us feel welcome
Here's to a great 2018. Top tip for any new members, don't be nervous about attending club nights or any of the runs, the group are a really friendly bunch and will always make you feel part of the gang.
