Post Christmas Party 6th Jan 2018

It still amazes me that, as a region, we can fill a function room ourselves these days and not have to piggy back on other Christmas events or functions. It shows just how far our region has developed in a very short period of time.
It was of course a great pleasure to spring our awards last night in recognition of those who often go the extra mile and I am sure you will all agree, went to some very worthy recipients.
New Member of the year award,
Andy & Angela Reid.
Spirit of R3 Award,
Martin & Gillian Reay
Member of the year award,
David & Amy Carnaffin.
Just proves behind every man there is a stronger woman keeping us right, eh guys.
Well done to you all & thank you all for your help, support and commitment during 2017.
All the very best to you all for 2018,
Greg & Deb.
Just a quick note to thank you both for a great night last night - we both really enjoyed it & everyone’s company. Rita managed to stumble going down the steps at the main entrance (the last isn’t a full step) going her full length into the side of the taxi. I also stumbled on the same step but before I got the words out to be careful, she was in free fall mode & couldn’t catch her. We certainly weren’t drunk.
Apart from being very sore, nothing broken luckily & the taxi was fine!
See you Wednesday

Thanks to you both and all the attendees, this was our first R3 dinner which we both thooughly enjoyed, the evening, service and facilities were excellent.
Thankyou for the time and work you both put in to make the region a success.
Once again thanks for a great evening.
Regards
Mike and Barbara
Thanks for arranging such a fantastic night it was absolutely brilliant. To say we were gobsmacked to win the award is an understatement which I'm sure you could tell anyway by the way I was lost for words (more surprising was that Ang was also lost for words which is a first!)
Would like to pass on a special thanks to Chris and Pat who were the first members we met on our first run out with the group to Whitby, together they helped us to fit in, introducing us to everyone and making us feel welcome
Here's to a great 2018. Top tip for any new members, don't be nervous about attending club nights or any of the runs, the group are a really friendly bunch and will always make you feel part of the gang.
Andy and Angela
cheers
John
Many thanks for organising such a great 'Post Christmas' event.
Everyone continued to be very welcoming and friendly which, as new members this year, has been our experience of the R3 ethos. We met new people again and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Looking forward to more club meets, runs out and events in 2018.
Thanks everyone
John and Gillian
