Reading sptels post about the cars he has owned prior to considering a 997, I thought it would be interesting to see fellow web-users past steeds.
The car ownership road that has lead you to the door of possible 997 ownership!!
Sptels past garage is below in the next post, I loved his quote..................................................
"I could be a very rich man If I had not got that early sniff of petrol in the pram."
...

Having had numerous company cars from Fords & Vauxhalls through to Audi's & Mercs
I started the car enthusiast bit with second car ownership & the bug gradually grew!!!
Reviewing the list it looks rather short for one spanning some 16 years, but hey I savoured every one & tried to be sensible with depreciation & have also been lucky enough to drive most Porker model's during this time (thanks to freinds in the trade, although they are never there when you actually want to buy a bargain!!)).
Heres mine
Golf GTI 8v..it all started here when they were big news & good to drive!!
Golf GTI 16v
Sierra Cosworth
Porsche 944 Turbo 250bhp
Porsche 928 GT
Toyota Supra Twin Turbo
Porsche 996
Porsche 996 facelift
Porsche 996 Twin Turbo
Aston Martin AMV8
997 GT3 on order!
The Mrs (Boss!) has gone Escort XR3i Cab (yes really)/MGF VVC/ & currently has a Boxter "S"

DO ADD YOUR LIST BELOW It doesn't matter how many you've had or how much they cost it's all about the driver enjoyment & it will be very interesting to see what people have changed their car for each time & no fantasy cars allowed!!!

Holy-molly you guys have all had a lot of cars! I have only ever bought 3 cars and I only sold 1 of them...

Year Colour Make Model BHP Comment
1998 Green Peugeot 106 XL 60 After university, got me from A to B - good chassis!
2003 Black Audi S3 Abt 250 Awesome - beautiful, luxurious, practical and super fast
2005 Basalt Black Porsche 997 C2S Cab 355 Pure heaven, put's a huge smile on my face whenever I drive it

My dream garage will prob include either a Gallardo or F430 followed by an Audi RS6 Avant when I have kid/dogs in a few years time. I will keep my Porsche though and probably give it to the other half as her car (she's crazy about convertibles). I just have a real problem parting with cars I love.
