Post your 997 spec choice here

After much changing of mind, and having seen the cars in the flesh at Classic Le Mans, finally settled on the following with a November build date:

Manual 911S
Guards Red
Black Leather
19" Sport Classic wheels
Sat Nav and Comms
Rain sensors and auto dip mirrors (strange combo)
Sports Seats
Bose sound system
Sunroof
Park assist

Decided against rear wiper as it looks really clean without. Just have to dig out the RainX!

Everyone got their invitation to the OPC launch next week?

A wing on the back and a couple of turbos to help haul it all around.
I interested to see the spec for the 997 Turbo, although I guess it will be another year before the details start leaking out and 18-24 months before shipments start.

Just for the record though (and I didn't take up my place on the list, against my better judgement), spec for the S would be:
Manual, Xenons, tyre monitoring, embossed head restraints, heated seats, short shift, sports exhaust, cd-autochanger, sat nav, car phone, different steering wheel.
I'd like to have balls to go for yellow, but might get midnight blue.

Wheels would depend on whether there was any advantage to deviating from the standard ones besides appearance, I would rather the telephone module was a bluetooth job, Bose is nice but not essential in my opinion (but helps resale), embossed head rests should be standard, can you get the dials in good old fashioned black (or do I have to specify painted dials), sport chassis if I could try if first and it will get over a speed bump, and I am not conviced about the PASM despite is coming as standard (more to go wrong and more cost?).

Every time i see the piccy of the press Guards Red car I think it looks brilliant. Has Artic Silver had its day?

Yes, started off with Atlas Grey, but changed my mind and wetn with old school Guards Red and Black. Shame they don't still do a cream leather with piping. That would look cool. Still, black is OK.

Just seen this morning a brand new 996TT in Cobalt Blue - looked absolutely stunning with the sun shining on it. It's a bitch that Porsche charge an extra grand for the 'Special Metallic' - but what's an extra 1.4% on the all up price [].

Re Bose - thinks I'll go for the external sound system rather than the internal - i.e. Sports Exhaust[:)]
