Great pub. There are a few speed cameras in the area to warn about []

If you go for the 26th I could make it....[:)] However, don't let that put you off choosing another date! How about a weekday evening now Summer is here - it may attract members who can get to weekend meetings (just as I can't typically make weekday evenings)?

Regards

Is there a mid-month get together along the lines of the Sywell 'Pub Of The Month' for October?

Happy to arrange something but I could only suggest pubs/restaurants in the South Milton Keynes area. I thought there was more interest from R10 members for around Northants but I'm not familiar with any venues in that area.

What happened to the Sywell meet ups and the golf club suggestions?

One place I went fairly recently which I though might make a good venue was the Brampton Halt. Full address is

Brampton Halt
Pitsford Road
Chapel Brampton
Northampton
NN6 8BA

It's a little north of Northampton but in very pleasant countryside and it has a pretty big car park if I remember correctly. Somebody more local might have another opinion.

I know Brian wants to have a meet some reasonable distance from home so he can give that new Ruf some legs!!! I'm dying to see it in the flesh!!!

Regards

Is this the one that backs onto or nearly onto the little railway?

Yes, Tony - it's actually an old Railway Station that's been very much updated and converted to a pub. They do pretty decent "pub" food and I seem to remember the car park is pretty big.

Whose up for it then?? And when????

Regards

Dave

I'm up for it. I've driven past there loads of times and always meant to go in at some point. The countryside is very nice round there (but it'll probably be dark anyway [:)] )

Anyone else?
Perhaps I should have asked Andy to send out one of his newsletter update emails.

I think that was pretty successful!! I quite like the venue - good and plentiful parking, reasonable food (skip the Christmas Pud though). If we make a habit of it there maybe we could utilise the rear car park so we can all park together. Nice to see Mike and John unexpectedly and everyone else made it. Even had a new member (can't remember the name I'm afraid).

Nice, nice car Brian!!! Even in the dark it looked awesome.

See you soon,

Best regards,

Dave

Thanks for putting the social together Dave. Very nice venue and as you say one for the future and the rear car park would be better if we have more numbers.

I was grateful to have Mike and his SatNav with me, not only for the directions but for the advanced Gatso warnings - I lost count of how many warning beeps we got around Northampton. [8|]

Anyone brave enough to suggest a date in November for the POTM - same venue or somewhere different?
