Practicality of the 944

A few months back I had 13 rolls of turf(boot covered in big dust sheet!)
Plenty of weight in the back, felt just like my 911 :)

Hi Nick,

I am a track cyclist actually. Fairly serious, I race at Herne Hill Velodrome in South London when it is open. Take part in lots of Regional comps and aiming at some National level Master events this year. I should really be getting into my winter training now but it is way too demotivating at the moment.
Went to Newport Velodrome in Wales last week with a fully laden 944, it was the main consideration before buying the car.

excellent . It must be tough for all competitive cyclists at the moment . Stuck in a cold garage on a turbo is no fun at the best of times .
Good luck with the winter training..... I'm starting mine in the New Year. my first TT is on the 6th April and I've not been on my bike for 14 months [;)]

Windsurf board 2 sails mast and boom and all the associated kit but could only take a passenger behind the driver!

A few years ago we went shopping for a new TV. I'm not sure why we took the 944T; the family Astra must have been having a rest. Anyway, we ended up buying a 42" TV plus three tiered glass stand plus DVD recorder. The man from Currys duly wheeled everything to the doors at the front of the store while I brought the 944 around. The look on his face was one that said: there's no way this is all going in there. But it did. I imagine he thought I'd have a Volvo or Audi estate. At the time I thought this must be one of the fastest ways to transport a large telly.............[:D][:)]
