Sorry to say I am putting my car up for sale.
Thought I would post on here first before I put it in club magazine.
I have owned the car for 9 years now and have enjoyed every moment. It has never let me down once.
The car is in standard form with no extra horsepower or roll cage,
On magnesium rims.
It has covered 44000 miles, and had a complete engine refurbish from Bob Watson approximately 2000 mile ago.
The car has had 4 owners. 2 in Europe and 2 in uk.

It will be going up for sale at £65000 ono

If anyone is interested or knows someone who is interested please let me know.

Mark,

Hi

That's a long period of ownership. Are you willing to say why you are selling, do you plan to replace it and why on earth did it need an engine refresh with such low mikeage?

Ian

Unfortunatly selling as lack of use . Looking to get something all family can get in.

Engine refurbish due to worn valve guides . Think down to lack of use as well.

Always remember to remove dme relay and crank over till oil pressure present before
startup after being left for a number of weeks.

Thought may as well replace everything else while apart and do a proper job.

Thanks Phil,

Everyone that has worked on it has said it is a good one.

Not sure where to advertise it

Hi m , unless you are a very patient person , at the price you are trying to achieve I think the sale is best handled by a dealer . Most serious buyers need either finance or warranty , the not -serious buyers ie the majority , will just waste your time. I'd add Autofarm and Specialist Cars of Malton to the list of sellers . HTH

Thank you Oldtimer,

Had not thought of selling through them.

James at Bob Watson Porsche had offered to sell through them.

OK . Autofarm sold Tony Carey's car , and SCOM have sold several . Even 911V have sold a 964RS in last 12 months....the important bit is selling skills and being recognised as knowledgeable about the marque with a track record of selling similar cars. Tom Schmitz has sold more 964RS's than anyone else , however he's more likely to buy from you at his price than to go SOR at your price . PM me if you want to know more about what is achievable.....

John, you clearly have recent experience to talk from, but I'm suprised to hear that buyers want a warranty on a car like and RS. I would have thought most get the car inspected by a knowledgable expert and are done with it. However, the RS market does seem to be a little slow right now. I do think you need a bit of patience as a buyer and a seller.
