Private Plate

It's a pity the plate I was offered for a tenner read
[FONT=Arial"]PORSCHE944S2BALTICBLUE89MODELHALFLEATHER[FONT=verdana,geneva"]LINEN
as I have full leather and really hate it when you have to stick a screw cap in the right place to fill in the gaps!
Fortunately, the plate I have at the moment is actually my surname. (cheaper to change my name)

Darren how unlucky can you be that plate is just so close to your car oh well Ill continue to keep a look out for PORSCHE 944 S2 GUARDS RED FADED GREY LEATHER - let me know if you come across it [:D]

Well how lucky am I?

My Porsche is called "Beaky" and he, coincidentaly, came with a number plate which reads E409 BKE

Thinking about it further, if I put a black fixing at the bottom of the 4 that would make it look like a 9. I could put a black fixing in the middle of the 0 and a coloured one at the bottom and another black at the back to make it look like a 4. Finaly, a black fixing at the back of the 9 to make that look like a four. Sorted, job's a good'n![:)]

Northern Bloke - I offered 4 bags of Fruit Pastilles and a quarter of Strawberry Bon- Bons but to no avail [:D]

Sounds like a fair price to me [:D]

11k is well scary for a 944 plate, even when they were new cars

I've still got this plate. My local is called 'The Winchester' and when the car's parked outside, people have been known to photograph it [:D][:D]

One day I'll get round to transferring it to my current Daimler.

That would be a well secured plate - it should never fall off with all those fixings

Oooh, is it time to post a pic of my Turbo's plate again?

Did you buy it the end, then ?

Why would I want to go and throw good money away buying it when its current owner is happy to have it languish on my car for free? [;)]

If I was about to drop £10k on my Turbo it would be putting a 3.0 16V engine under the bonnet.

Nice plate Rick! Also like GEX (is that correct?) Fen.
The one I liked was on a silver Cerbera, XXIII. It looked like a bar code, very cool.
[;)]Plates R GR8!!!
