PROMAX "˜Show&Shine' Sat 16th August
(arrival time TBA, but judging starts from around 12noon)
As we're a little late(!) on planning a traditional Club concours this year, a couple of members from the region came forward earlier this year and suggested they might help with a very similar event.
Together with myself, Bob Spratley and Steve Feakin, we have put together an event here which we hope many will be able to attend.
It's intended as a very informal get together with a "˜Show and Shine' element, much the same as some previous R10 Concours occasions, but under the banner of respected independent Porsche specialist, ProMax Motorsport, who have very kindly offered to host this event at their premises at: The Warehouse, Sunnyhill Farm, Little Horwood Road, Great Horwood, Bucks MK17 0NZ. They will be laying on refreshments through the day and you'll have a chance to see their place and chat Porsche (and others) with them. Facilities to "˜tidy up' your prized vehicles will be available, too, of course.
For those who can make it (as it is quite soon!) it will be a chance to shine up and enjoy your cars, and be impartially judged on your efforts by some of "˜those that know'.
There will be some very nice Porsche goodies for the lucky winners of the event, which will see categories for best Air Cooled, Early Water Cooled (924, 944, 928, 968 etc), Modern Water Cooled (996, 997, 991, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, etc) and even a Non-Porsche section for fun.
If you'd like to come along and enjoy the day with us, please ensure you contact Bob Spratley directly at: bobshowandshine@btinternet.com as he is co-ordinating this and he can send you an Entry Form for this event[
].
There's no cost to enter and it'll be great to see you and your car, even if you don't enter the Show and Shine[
]
I'd recommend contacting Bob sooner rather than later, as we are quite near to the intended date - rest assured it will be worth the effort you put into your pride and joy!
An indication of your interest will be useful to know on this post, BUT if you'd like to come, please contact Bob soonest!
Hope you can all make it!
